Business Development Manager

  • EduMakr is looking for young, energetic and diligent Business Development Manager. The role holder will drive sales targets of the organization and manage a team of sales executives. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal & communication skills and should have experience in researching market trends, targeting relationships and using proven methods to develop our business strategy while retaining marketing partners.

     

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. They must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. Business Development Managers work with mid and senior level management, marketing, and technical staff.

 

  • He/she may manage the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description, since it is the business manager’s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors.

        • Identifying & Recruiting potential Sales/Marketing executives and business development executives
        • Driving business targets through the sales team
        • Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement
        • Achieving all set goals consistently on monthly basis
        • Optimal use of given lead on daily basis & achieving cost efficient operation
        • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly sales targets
        • Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure that requirements and goals are met
        • Maintain relationships with clients and identify new prospects within the area you have been assigned
        • B2B sales, marketing and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals
        • Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning
        • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors
        • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
        • Responsible for target achievement

 

  • Key Skills

      • Any Graduate on any Specialization. MBA is preferred
      • 5-10 years proven track record in Corporate business sales or related market
      • Willingness to learn and excel
      • Excellent communication skills and enterprising
      • Prior experience in Corporate Sales will be an added benefit
      • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
      • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
      • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
